Rando Trail Nature celebrates a fulfilling year with MCB's support

MCB celebrated alongside Rando Trail Nature as the association hosted its annual awards ceremony on 14^th December at the Hennessy Park Hotel. This event rewarded the best Trail League across categories as a year full of performance, and solidarity comes to a close.

As partners of the Association for the past five years, MCB was glad to renew its support for the noble objective of RTN. Since its registration in 2010, RTN has provided Trail and hiking enthusiasts with opportunities to live their passion for sports and nature to the fullest and share it with others. This partnership allowed, among others, Mauritian trailers Simon Desvaux de Marigny and Marie Perrier to participate in the 2023 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in Austria. 

MCB has always been particularly attached to sports and the strong values that it stands for team spirit, the pursuit of excellence, discipline, and respect for others. Trail running is a sport that perfectly symbolises these values," pointed out Peggy Blin, Events Specialist at MCB Group, in her speech on this occasion.

Sports with a social purpose

Above and beyond its ideals of excellence and integrity, RTN also shares environmental conscience and inclusion values with the MCB. Motivated by these common concerns, the Association and the Bank joined forces to create a platform allowing members' passion to impact the community positively. The "Leker dan zefor" program gives Rs 5 for every kilometre run by members, the proceeds of which fund a good cause.

This year, 13 free outings have been organised thanks to this initiative through "Fam ansam", in various regions of the island to allow women of all backgrounds and sporting levels to enjoy sports in nature in a safe atmosphere and share special moments.

In line with the Bank's core value of teamwork, this partnership is one of the many ways MCB invests in a more sustainable future and a more equitable society.
