PROPARCO and DEG sign a USD 65m loan to MCB to support its clients affected by the Covid-19 crisis

MCB, PROPARCO and DEG have announced the signature of a USD 65m loan agreement on Tuesday 2nd February.

This loan facility has been granted to Mauritius Commercial Bank Limited (MCB) in view of supporting its clients, particularly SMEs of Mauritius and the African region, who have been affected by the Covid-19 crisis.

The loan facility also lays emphasis on the strong relationship between MCB and PROPARCO, which dates of almost 20 years now, and of “the international recognition of MCB’s high level of creditworthiness and its active role in funding high-impact projects in the sub-Saharan and Indian Ocean regions.”
