We sadly learnt that Pierre Guy Noel passed away yesterday evening.
Pierre Guy was a visionary leader, and over his 27 years at the helm of MCB Group, he successfully led the transformation of our group. He will be remembered as the architect of the diversification and internationalisation of our banking and non-banking activities. He was an exceptional and iconic leader. His vision to guide our businesses towards new sources of growth has put the Group in a stronger position for future generations.
Pierre Guy also succeeded in creating a profoundly humane company, which significantly impacted all of us and the development of our country and society.
On behalf of all MCB employees and the members of the boards of the MCB Group and its subsidiaries, we express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones and pay tribute to the visionary leader he was during his 27 years at the helm of the company

C’est avec une immense tristesse que nous avons appris le décès de Pierre Guy Noel au courant de la soirée d’hier.
Pierre Guy était un leader visionnaire et au cours de ses 27 ans à la tête du Groupe MCB, il a mené à bien la transformation de notre groupe. On se rappellera de lui comme étant l’architecte de la diversification et l’internationalisation de nos activités bancaires et non-bancaires. Il était un dirigeant exceptionnel et iconique. Sa vision d’orienter nos métiers vers de nouvelles sources de croissance, a laissé le Groupe MCB dans une position plus forte pour les générations futures.
Pierre Guy a aussi su créer une entreprise profondément humaine, qui a eu un impact majeur sur nous tous et sur le développement de notre pays et de notre société.
