MCB participated in ARDA Week 2024, the premier event for Africa's downstream oil industry, held from April 22nd to 26th at the Cape Town Century Convention Centre, South Africa. This year's theme, "The Energy Transition of Africa's Downstream Oil Sector - The Path Forward," addressed critical areas like challenges and emerging trends in African energy, alongside innovations and best practices.

 

Guillaume Leenhardt, MCB's Senior Advisor in Specialised Finance Energy & Commodities, was a featured speaker at the inaugural ARDA Investment Forum. He underscored the critical role of sustainable energy and regional infrastructure in Africa's energy transition, affirming, "Investing in sustainable energy and regional infrastructure is pivotal for securing Africa's sustainable energy future."

 

Guillaume Leenhardt also highlighted key challenges companies face in developing sustainable energy infrastructure, showcasing successful strategies employed to address them, such as securing financing and ensuring project economic viability.

MCB's delegation from the Specialised Finance, Energy and Commodities division, including Devisha Bheemuck, Aavhinam Nullah, and Sharad Cuppoor, actively engaged in discussions and explored new collaboration opportunities with key industry players.
