The boys from Collège de la Confiance won the third season of Deba Klima decisively. They stood out with their eloquence and powerful ideas, and impressed the jury during the debates, hosted by artist La Nikita and aired on MBC 1 and MBC Sat on Saturday, 28 June . The 3rd season of Deba Klima, which started on television on 24 May , is a joint initiative of MCB and the Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre, in collaboration with Dr. François Gemenne, a specialist in environmental geopolitics and migration issues.
A compelling contest
The final of Deba Klima sezon 3, which saw Collège de la Confiance face off against Dr. Maurice Curé State Collège, lived up to expectations. The students spoke passionately on a topic that directly concerns the population: Laper pous dimounn pou azir lor sanzman klimatik; The girls from Dr. Maurice Curé argued in favour, while their opponents from Collège de la Confiance took the opposing view. Both teams demonstrated determination, combining solid arguments, thorough research, and an evident passion for the environmental cause.
Humor, Eloquence, and Local Flavor
The speeches, laced with humor and powerful arguments and rooted in our local culture, convinced the jury, which was composed of Johanne Hague, lawyer, Victoria Desvaux, a circular economy specialist, Jason Adu, Social Media Specialist and Stéphane Lebon, Sustainability Manager, both from MCB, and Sookdeo Rungoo, Manager, Education at RGSC. They were unanimous: the finalists managed to captivate their audience with strong arguments, backed by reliable data and powerful examples.
